Meaning: Parivrtta = Revolve, Trikona = Triangle, Asana = Pose or Posture
Pose Type: Standing
Level: Intermediate

Instructions

  1. Start by standing with your feet together and arms resting at your sides.
  2. Step 1: Take a deep breath and jump to spread your legs approximately three to three and a half feet apart. Inhale and raise your arms to shoulder height, parallel to the floor.
  3. Step 2: Turn your left foot outward 90 degrees and your right foot inward at about 45 degrees. Exhale partially, rotating your torso to face your right foot. Exhale fully as you bend forward, bringing your right hand toward your left foot. Your right palm can touch your left foot or rest on the floor beside it. Extend your left arm upward, fingers pointing to the sky, and turn your gaze to your raised hand. Hold the pose for 30 seconds to a minute, breathing normally.
  4. Step 3: Inhale as you lift your right hand from the floor and rotate your torso back to the starting upright position, with arms extended at shoulder height and palms facing down.
  5. Step 4: Exhale and repeat the pose on the opposite side, reversing the foot positions and lowering your left hand near your right foot.
  6. Step 5: Inhale as you return to the upright position, arms down and feet facing forward.
  7. Step 6: Exhale, jump to bring your feet together, and return to the starting position.
  8.  Repeat as desired.
