Sasangasana (Hare Pose/Pose of the Moon)
Sasak = Hare/ Rabbit, Ank = Lap, Asana = Pose or Posture
Steps
- Sit in Vajrasana, Place your hands on the thighs just above the knees and keep the back straight.
- Slowly, inhale and raise the arms, without bending them,
- As you exhale, bend forward from the hip while keeping the arms with the ears, maintain shoulder width apart between the arms.
- The arms, trunk and head should remain in one line.
- If possible, the arms and forehead should touch the floor at the same time. Bend the arms slightly so that they are fully relaxed and let the elbows rest on the floor.
- Take a deep breath 3-5 times while you are in the pose.
- Inhale, raise your arms up along with the ears and Exhale, slowly bring it down beside the body.
- Repeat the process for 3-6 more times.
