Sasangasana (Hare Pose/Pose of the Moon)

Sasak = Hare/ Rabbit, Ank = Lap, Asana = Pose or Posture

Steps

  1. Sit in Vajrasana, Place your hands on the thighs just above the knees and  keep the back straight.
  2. Slowly, inhale and raise the arms, without bending them,
  3. As you exhale, bend forward from the hip while keeping the arms with the ears,   maintain shoulder width apart between the arms.
  4. The arms, trunk and head should remain in one line.
  5. If possible, the arms and forehead should touch the floor at the same time. Bend the arms slightly so that they are fully relaxed and let the elbows rest on the floor.
  6. Take a deep breath 3-5 times while you are in the pose.
  7. Inhale, raise your arms up along with the ears and Exhale, slowly bring it down beside the body.
  8. Repeat the process for 3-6 more times.
